Default Medical update:

Today was a great day for the Everett family. Last week Janece had to be rushed back to Vandy for some fluid in her abdomen and they placed a drain at that point. Today she another ct and the fluid is gone and they removed the drain! I have to say a special thanks to our friend Rachel, who works for Senator Bunning, for driving Janece to Vandy last week. I could not leave quickly from the clinic but I got to the er at vandy an hour after they did even though I left Paducah and hour and a half after did.

Allen had x-rays of his foot today and his fracture has healed!!! He got rid of the cast today and starts physical therapy next week. Allen got a scratch on the cornea of his right eye last night while playing with his baby sister. These are very painful. So we left one doctor this morning and I took him to the eye doctor. She got him fixed up medications and his eye is a little better.

Today was a great day for the Everett family. A lot of prayers have been answered. Thank you to everyone on the forum for the words of encouragement and prayers.

Walker,
There never was discussion of using air transport. Janece was not in the hospital in Paducah when we found out the results of the ct. She was at home and our friend Rachel was there visiting when she got the call from the doctor. Vandy is about 3 hours from our house. From the time we found out she needed to go vandy and the time she arrived was only about 3.5 hours or so. She was in pain but stable. To be honest, I never even thought about that as a possibility.

I was ust curious. Vanderbilt has an airplane that we have a friendly rivalry with. Our company has teh Helicopter contract for Vandy, but the airplane they have is operated by another company, so we rib eachother a lot.

Im glad she is ok though man. Vandy is atop notch hospital...
