Could be multiple things here. First off check the idle cables, then the inline filter. Look for easy then go more in depth. Mine was a combo of a partially fouled plug, w/ debris in my filter that plugged slightly to the intake. Fixed that and adjusted my cables, ran good.

same boat as i have -stratos bought out javlin - i have to keep my out board almost level to get it to start the first time. check your trim if you are trimming it all the way down gavity pulls the gas out of the carbs and pushes it into the intake causing it to stall. also mine will not run very well in the all down postion for some reason -it is a yamaha after all-

Hmmmm....Do what the others have posted first. Look for the easy first and then get more involved. Lack of fuel comes to mind. Make sure all conections are tight and the bulb is not being sucked closed. Another thing to check is make sure fuel tank vent is not closed. Alot of people overlook this. One thing I HIGHLY suggest is to locate a product called Seafoam. It is a miracle in a can. It is a product developed for 2 strokes in mind. Add it to your fuel tank and it decabs you motor, cleans out fuel lines, gummed up carbs etc..etc.. When you first use it you will notice the motor smoking somewhat more....DONT worry its ok. It is just cleaning out all the carbon and unwanted junk in your fuel system. After use you will see some more pep in your motor and better fuel mileage. Let me know if I can help anymore.
