Default Schooled by Denny Brauer

Anyone else watch this show? Each time I watch it I get totally disgusted with Denny brauer's attitude and rudness toward these guys... I mean he might think he's all that but he can be just a little bit nicer he doesnt have to tell them they casted pathetic or couldnt read a map he is just an ******* is all i see

I watch show. I see where you are coming from but I believe he is giving brutal truth. One guy from my club make it to the finals on the show. I fished only one tournament(partner tournament) against him and finished first and set a club record for biggest bag. I belive he was top 5

Yeah well he might be telling the truth but i'm sure he's had a day on the water where he messes up quite often... he also always complains when they play a fish and bring it in and really talk about it being a hawg... he'll be like come on just jerk that fish in the boat and get it back in the water its no 5 pounder... then he'll go out and fish and catch a 1 pounder and play it all around the boat then talk for a hour about how huge it is and how great it was that he caught it... he does the same things he complains about... quite frankly this show makes me dislike him a lot

I bet the producers insist on him making brutal opinions on air to sell the show. The point I see the show making most of the time is that the angler thinks he's really good, but in reality he has plenty of room to work on, lets face it, if they were smooth on boat handling and map reading and presentation, they'd be on tv fishing for big money.
Although his crtique is about average in my book, he points out to be
"beating the angler up", quiet often. Thats the selling point of the show in the directors eye I think.
Ya have to look the anglers too, often they do suck on many parts of their game plan, crappy pitches, overlooking key areas, than many time baurer
goes back and fishes and pulls out a nice bass.
If he was toot sweet in his suggestions, perhaps the angler wouldn't take him as serious. I am sure there are hurt feelings when first told of their mistakes, but most I've seen don't have the total package to be a pro.
And also, I am sure being on tv cameras for the first time would be enough to spook the best of us.
TV fishing shows have been on for 20+ years, I've noticed the new trend the last couple of years is to shake up the same ol same old show,
put in exciting guys like IKE, yelling and so forth, or
put on two tv hosts that argue all the time, or show a pro being a prick on tv advise..lets face it, it has us all watching bass worlds "real tv" type arena.

Well, it didn't sell well enough, as the show will not return.

Denny grabs the line and does pathetic hooksets all the time and he talks about the guys. I don't know how many times I have seen Denny mis a fish!Quite frankly I think Denny should be schooled himself.

Well, Denny has almost $2 mil in BASS earnings, a Classic win, 100+ top-20 finishes and other stuff on his resumé. I think he's been fairly well-schooled.

How many times can a man get lucky ? Especially among other top notched anglers. Maybe he's just good.

Denny always used to be featured on fishing shows that specialized in jig fishing, I always enjoyed his presentation. He's probably in the top 10 of yesteryears great IMO

I don't think denny is the complete angler in my opinion. His jig fishing everywhere he goes tends to produce a nice sack here and there and he does win when his type of fishing works out.

I think anyone that has won a bank roll like he has,has plenty of room to talk.Brauer does not only fish with a tube or jig,he knows cranks and spinner baits. He is also great at the buzz bait.If you don't like the show, change the channel.I personaly love the show and think Brauer is the man.

I met Denny at the Classic this past summer. While he did give me a sig. he was very cold and did not answer any questions. Every one else I encountered was very nice. I watch his show cause it's somewhat informative. To me it seems as though he has his favorites that he schools. If his show is canceled I won't miss it.
