ot out to Brookville for only 1.5 hours yesterday.....Weather was very nice 56 degress and a nice low overcast. Water temps were pretty much 65 everywhere that we went in the lake.
We first launched at the ramp and saw that the wind was blowing perfectly into this cove that we know has a nice big stump where we have seen several big fish before, so we decided to hit that first. My first cast I took two cranks of the reel and it felt like a freight train rammed into my 1/2 oz spinnerbait. This thing just started peeling linee off of my Trion which had the drag tightened up pretty good. Got it to the boat after about 5 min and was pleased to see that it was a solid 6 lb striper. I mean, I've caught bigger stripers, but none that fought harder. Anyway, we kept pounding this cove and five min later, I was hooked up again. This time it was a barely under 14" largemouth. Again he just slammed the spinnerbait and put up a great fight. Stayed in basically the same spot for the rest of the day which was only like an hour and a half and I got 2 white bass and my dad finally got 1. Pretty good day for only having an hour and a half. Catch em up Brian |

we put in at the one right by the dam...cant think of the name they give it, but it has a nice big parking lot, room for probably 5 or 6 boats to launch and 4 docks so it works out pretty nicely.....it happens to be the closest one to our house too

We live in eaton, so Hanna is the nearest ramp for us, but we usually do shoot down the lake about 15 miles to the big cove on the east side of the dam ramp area, sure looks good

tackle tester
are you sure that was not a hybrid -white bass striper cross- striper have full lines on there sides hybrid look alot like a striper only have broken lines on there sides...one way to tell is striper are straight away fighters hybrids like to run laps -not always but some times-around the boat.. 5 pound hybrid fights like a 15 pound flathead cat fish. zooker

Zooker,
brookville lake is full of real stripers, white bass and walleye, smallies n largemouth, cats , carps...they prob. have wipers too, but he stripes are real, they have a stripper club that has tournament pics all the time in the LIberty news (area town just north of the lake) |
