I have been spending more time shore fishing this year and while I do enjoy it, it can creat some interesting casting challenges. I am trying to find a decent rod that is in the 6 foot range with enough backbone to pitch into weeds, backs of tullies, and laydowns. I find that I am often pitching in places where I am forced to next to the trees or even stepping out into an opening of tullies. The 7 foot rod that I have becomes bluky and awkward for me in those cases.
Thanks for any input.
