Hmmm...I was skeptical of my chances yesterday, since it was pretty cold, and I got a late start (didn't get to the lake until noon). Water temp was a balmy 59 degrees.
However, I did catch a nice 16" buck bass on a white spinnerbait out on a shallow open water flat (Woody's smallmouth zone ![]() ![]() I can not wait to fish this area after I get a good GPS/chartplotter. There are amazing drop-offs surrounding this flat. I figure a jig or tube bounced down could yield some trophy fish. That's next year's goal. ![]()
