Default The Worm

I never thought too much about a specific brand called The Worm. I see them constantly at Wal-Mart, just a little skinny, pre-hooked plastic that skims through the water and has a little spinner on it as well. It isn't rigged weedless, and comes in two sizes (unsure of exact measurements.)

Yesterday, I invited a friend to come over to my house and fish the pond with me. It wasn't long before I hooked a bass first... so small that when I set the hook, the fish came right out of the water into the canoe.

He quickly followed it up with a 18 1/2 inch largemouth on The Worm, one of the biggest bass he has ever caught, and one of the biggest I've ever seen in the pond. His scale said about 4 lbs.

The Worm caught some more fish too, even if they weren't quite as big. Between a fat Riverside worm and a slug-go, I caught a few decent bass myself, but as he casted The Worm around weeds, he got some nice hits.

Yes, I do find the name The Worm amusing. But I recommend trying it out. The bass seemed to really like it yesterday. Held up for a few fish too.
