My son, nephew, and I struck out last night at our pond. Its getting really hot now and I'm sure the fishing will slow way down.
The only thing I caught was a really really small blue gill about 2 inches long. Damn thing grabed the tail of my worm and wouldn't let go till I pulled it out of the watter and on to the bank! I hooked him by the lips and tossed him out to use as live bate. Not more than 30 seconds later my rod bent over. Something HUGE hit my little friend! But as quick as it happened it stopped and the monster took my lively little friend to a wattery grave without the chance of a hook set. There is always next week! |
