Default Live mice as bait?

i had a click in my mind last night while i was tryin to go to sleep, and i was hearing the mouse in my attic ARGH! we have a couple mouse traps that just hold the mouse and dont kill it, also where my mom works they get mice on gluepads all the time wich i think is just cruel, i mean they get stuck and just starve to death and when they struggle they just get more stuck, she works at a petstore thats why there are mice. but anyways what do you guys think about using mice as live bait? it think it would look very tempting to the bass, a little four legged critter squirmin around on top tryin to swim to shore. plus it will help rid of the mice we have and put them to good use instead of just killing them
