Visual Diagram: How-To Worm Rigs
There have been several posts about how to rig a Texas rig or Wacky rig, so:
Texas rig: Wacky rig: Those two rigs will handle just about all your soft plastic rigging. There are a few other rigs: Carolina rig: This shows a brass bullet sinker, but a lead egg sinker will work as well. I use a couple of tungsten weights because it puts out a loud click when they hit together. Dropshot: Start by tying a Palomar knot with a long tag end. When you have the knot tightened up, take the tag end and thread it back through the eye of the hook so the hook points up. Great way to catch suspended fish. Not a worm rig, but it comes up a lot-how to put a trailer on a jig:
