Hello all Mike from KY here, I am 28 and have been fishing the better part of my life here on Lake Cumberland.
I have always used a spinning reel but last year i purchased a couple of BPS Extreme bait casters and I have gotten fairly decent with them with the exception of being able to cast light lures. I always use a bullet weight with worms but would like to be able to cast with weightless Super flukes which have some weight to them bu there selves. The problem is I see people all the time able to cast super flukes with sinkers no problem but I cannot even though I am in the backyard almost daily practicing. Any tips or do you guys think that casting weightless super flukes is better left to a spinner? Rod and reel setup , BPS Extreme, Quantum medium 6'0 tournament series rod, 12 lb Suffix Mono, I have 4 brakes engaged and 2 disengaged. |
