I Know, I Know....

I seem to be a pain lately, but please, bear with me, it's almost bass season up here in the North! So, here's my problem...

My Wild River, (aka -- St. Croix Wild River, ML, 7'6''), is possibly going to be my Drop-Shot rod this year. I'm still skeptical as to wheter or not it's too light, but here is my real problem....

Braid -vs- Fluorocarbon.

Braid Pros --

• Braid will avoid a break-off during "cover-fishing" with this light-line technique.
• Braid is cheaper (Well, maybe...), then fluorocarbon.
• Gives good bottom feel.
• Can be used time and time again.
• Can use a fluorocarbon leader to avoid wasting line. (Mainline to swivel, swivel to leader, leader to hook, leader to weight. Make sense?)

Fluorocarbon Pros --

• Near-, (Or so-claimed.), Invisibility.
• Good bottom-feel.
• Smaller diameter-to-test ratio.
• Many companies to chose from.

Braid Cons --

• Expensive!
• Have to use a leader if I wish to switch techniques.
• Very visible.

Fluorocarbon Cons --

• Expensive(er)!
• I've heard it snaps easily?
• Wears easily.

Well, there's what I have. Do you have anything to add? Some constructive criticism? Cranebird?
