Question Older reel question

I have a Shimano Bantam ProMag 100SG that my Father in law gave me a couple of years ago. Until today I have never had in major issues with it, but now the anti reverse works very intermittently.
I have taken it apart and can not find any wearing on the gear or clip that engages the anti-reverse. I know it is a dry assembly and I verified there is no oil or greese. The drag works fine as long as I hold the handle.
So I am sitting in the garage scratching my head right now.
I know the reel is getting on in age, and not as sexy as some of the newer ones, but I am not ready to retire it as of yet.
I just put a bid in on one on e-bay to use for parts if needed.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
