Default Cleaning out the computer

Since we've been talking about computers and such, I had another question, not dealing with viruses.

Our new computer came with a lot of things on it with free demos of line 3 months or whatever. Unfortunately, I didn't look into any of them until they were all up. A couple things uncluded Corel [sp?] photoshop and Corel Painter. Now, I know form using these in digital art classes at school, that these programs take quite a bit of space. (are a very expensive).

To renew them is like 80 bucks a month! (I think)

So, Is it ok for me to go ahead and delete these things if I'm never going to use them. I've got a friend trying to get me Adobe Photoshop CS4, so I won't be needing the other one.

are these just like any program I'd install, I and can I delete them the same way?

Thanks,
BB
