...But I cannot say I'm surprised. From the start of the game the "first start" jitters took their toll in the form of penalties on the part of the O-line and the injuries that began on the first day of Fall practice plus the NCAA's screwing of LB Mike Balogun all added up The loss of Bradford plus the in-practice injury to the finest TE in the land, Jermaine Gresham, were killers.
On the bright side, the Large Dozen has done well so far today and our back-up QB shows promise. Somebody other than Idaho State (next opponent) will feel the backlash from this...Who will it be? Who indeed? This may be a troublesome year for OU but everyone who knows college football knows OU will remain the bluest of the blue blood in times to come. I hope all here enjoyed their team's efforts today, whomever they might be. Congrats to BYU. They fought hard and won fairly. (But they still wear funny underwear. ![]() L6 |
