Default I'm hooked on a hook

This not a story about myself or any member of my family impaling me while fishing.

I had gotten a grab bag of goodies in my last tourney, this included a small plano box with DS style baits . While out on the pond yesterday I decided to give them a toss. I don't DS this pond, so I was fly rigging the baits.

The kit included a set of hooks that were size 1 Gamakatsu Walleye Wide Gap.

Unlike most DS hooks, these really held the bait solid when T-rigged. Unlike most of my finesse techniques, every hook set was right through the top lip. I don't know that I would use them for an actual drop shot hook, but for finesse they worked well for me.
While the hooks in the kit were good, the baits not so much. They were a little too soft for my liking. It felt like I was tryig to put jello on the hook. They did catch fish in the pond, but they tore too easily for my liking.

One of the other items from the grab bag was a pack of jackall flick shake worms. They are a very soft and thinner senko style worm. The action on these when wacky rigged was very good. Probably as good as I have seen.
