Novice's first attempt at a real spinning set up:
Skeet Reese Tessera Rod - 7'2" MH Fast. Pflueger Supreme reel. I plan to put some 10 lb flouro on it. Will be my jig and plastics rod. Not crazy about the yellow as far as stick color but I guess it matters not. Rod feels good as does trying out the reel sans line. Friday will be its first test run - calling in slick as the Birmingham snow is giving way to mid 50's and sun.
Is my thinking on this rod and reel correct for the application?
