Saturday I unloaded at Buck Creek and fished close for about an hour with nothing but short fish. I then decided to run up to Lead Hill and go toward the back of East Sugar Loaf Crk to flip and pitch some bushes. I didnt plan to spend alot of time doing it as the lake had been dropped. I finally flipped a 3 lb +/- bass on a 6 inch lizard with a Florida rig. The skies were clear and with little wind so I then motored up to the Horseshoe Bend area and dragged a carolina rig lizard on the pea gravel pockets. Ended up with 5 fish total that would have weighed around 10 pounds. Fishing was slow. A tournament out of Pontiac was won with 14 lbs with 11 lbs needed to get in the money. I didnt have enough weight to have gotten a check however was pleased with what I had after I learned that most of the boats in tourney didnt have a 5 fish limit. The water temp was from 55-57 degrees with clear skies and little wind.
Here is the fish I flipped on the lizard. Not a hawg but not a bad fish either ![]()
