Well I think ill finally have time to do some fishing this Saturday. So I checked the weather and it looks like it will be about 60 all week but Saturday, the day I want to go fishing, it will drop into the 40s.
The lake ill be fishing is a small reservoir about a mile long and not very wide. It is probably 20 feet deep at its deepest point. there is lots of cover along the banks and one major river channel running the entire length. Ill be fishing out of a jon boat with no electronics so the channel is hard to find. The dam at one end is lined with rocks and shallow. It will be my first time using my new Nelson rod so I will be throwing a lot of shallow cranks and jerkbaits. And also maybe a swim jig and spinnerbaits. I have never really payed much attention to weather patterns, something I hope to change over this season. (I'm starting a log book to help) but any suggestions on what to throw and where to focus would be a lot of help. Thanks |
