Default Friday Fishing

Got out of my Organic Chemistry Lab early (first one, just an intro) so I went home, loaded a couple rods in the truck and hit the local reservoir.

Noticed they had killed the weeds, and over the past few years, the fishing always sucks after they do. Started with one of my 3/8oz jigs and in about 5 casts, hooked up with a fish, average sized for the reservoir. He got off right at the edge of water when the rocks slid out from under my foot and had no choice but to give him slack in order to catch myself...

Switched to lighter 1/4oz jig since I was getting a few weeds. Landed two fish then the jig bite seemed to die. About 15-20 minutes for I had to go, I tied on a weightless t-rigged senko and caught a 3rd fish. Best day I've had there after a weedkill.

Went back later in the evening with my dad and the only bites we got were mosquitos...
