We are up at our cabin for the weekend, and after doing yard work and other miscellaneous chores all day, I decided to go after some crappie from our dock tonight...even if it was cold and very windy.
I was using a pink & yellow marabou crappie jig (recommend by a fishing guide I know here on this lake), casting it out, and counting it down to various depths until I found some fish. I caught one crappie, and it was a decent one at 1lb 8oz, and lost another one that I think was a bit bigger. I also caught 3 "pesky" LM bass, the biggest of which was 1lb 15oz. There are still quite a few chores on the "to do" list for tomorrow, but I think I will have to try my hand at some dock-fishing again tomorrow night. ![]() |
