vacation day catch

took a vacation day yesterday for a trip to holiday world theme park with some friends. figured id take today off for a long weekend. took dad to our secret pond we always catch nice fish in, its about 2 foot low if not a little more so it was a little tougher than normal but the bass were right against the bank. we both caught quite a few, i was using a 1/4oz swim jig altho i wasnt swimming it just cast and wait then move and wait. dad caught some on a spinnerbait that was given to him by roger (lilmule) on our kentucky lake trip. also used a jerkbait. we had some hits on frogs but couldnt hook up with them. i caught this 3lb 6oz, then caught 2 more bout the same size a little later. he caught this bass on a jerkbait we didnt weigh it. and for the last cast of the day he was cleaning the backlash out of his reel... imagine that.. he cast to the middle of the pond with the jerkbait and about 1/2 way back to the boat he had this 5 lb 5oz catfish slam his jerkbait, we thought it was gonna b dads wallhanger but he was happy anyway. was glad to get out and spend some time with my dad on my day off. hope u guys catch a bunch this weekend!!
