CBBT Report
Friday we went thru the tropical storm to the tune of 3 hours to cross the RT 50 bridge. At almost midnight we arrive at the hotel to a cold beer and a soft pillow. Next morning we slowly roll on down to the ramp and by 9am we are on the shoals outside Kipptopeake. First line in the water and bam shark on. For the next 5 hours we go thru about 20-30 hooks on sharks. We decided to move since the cobia never showed up.
We head south and see two guys in a boat under the high rise waving like mad. They have run out of gas and dropped anchor. Well the out going tide is dragging them out to sea. So we hook up and drag them back to a ramp inside Fishermans Island. Back out to our favorite spot from the last couple years and we are on the ray bite now. Big rays to 100-150 lbs are released and then finally we hit the big reds. A 44 then 45 then 43 and a 40. Lost one right by the boat (huge) and another pulled the hook. Those big rays kept us busy on Sunday. Capt Mike
