Trolling motor safety question.
This is a picture of my boat. As you can see, it's just a small jon with a transom mounted electric motor. I almost always fish just my local lakes within minutes of my house so I trailer the boat with the motor still mounted to the transom as shown. Thursday coming up, I am trailering the boat to a lake I've never been on which is about an hour or more from home. Do you think the motor would be ok to travel that far left mounted to the transom or would you recommend taking the motor off the boat until we get to the destination? I'm not sure how safe it would be on the motors height adjustment and tension collars with the vibration and bouncing around a road trip will produce.
