Your thoughts.....
Picked up a used Shimano Castaic recently. It's being worked on right now, a little clean up, so I thought I'd see what people thought of them. It's got the Instagage thumb bar which is new to me. Never used a reel with one. Here are the specs that I found.....
Shimano Castaic Specifications Line Capacity8/200;10/170;14/125Gear Ratio6.2:1Weight9.0 (oz)Bearings4BB, 1RBAdditional FeaturesAluminum frame, Aluminum spool, super stopper, VBS, InstagageMSRP$139.99And here's a pic of what it looks like....it is the right handed model. Now here's the price.......a whopping $15. Did I get a good deal??? Anyone with any experience with this reel? Good? Bad? |
