i fished titicus reservoir in north salem n.y. last night from 6 to 9:30.being as last night according to the moon phases was supposed to be the worst night of the month and the fishin has stunk lately i just figured i'd make the best of it.i started out from where my noat is near the dam and fished those weed beds with no results.i tried a rattle trap a jig and a t-rigged purple power worm with a 1/4 oz.tungsten weight un pegged.i decided to row across to the other side by boat area one and work the weedbeds.that's where i caught my first fish.i had cast out the power worm and let it sit while i drank some water.while i was comtemplating what a beautifull night it was i let it sit approx.1 minute.when i picked it up i felt weight and set the hook.i was rewarded with a nice 3 lb. largie that put up a real nice fight puliing drag on my spinning reel.for the next 20 minutes i could not get another bite.then i decided to switch the power worm for a watermelon/chartruese trick worm and tried again.i was rewarded with 3 more largies from 2 to 2 3/4 lbs. in the next 1/2 hour.after that the bite went dead.so it just goes to show you that you shouldn't take those d**n moon charts for the gospel and you should just make the best of every outing that you can.
