Nice fish,
You and others need to measure like any tournament fish, that is , with the mouth closed and the tape end exactly where the mouth is...
if you had a golden rule fish measuring bar, you can put the closed mouth right up against the 90 degree bend, to ensure accurate measurements.

i think i am getting one of those for christmas,but it is sorta hard to get the fish to lay still long enough for a picture.

va, i dont think that counts. looks like you took a pic of it inside your house. look at the rules.

6. Then the angler MUST use the calculating device that Reb was kind enough to find for the purposes of this event.
7. The biggest combined weight wins.
8. No snagging
9. No live bait
10. No netting.
11. Ponds, Lakes, and any moving water is acceptable.

all fish must be released. sorry for being a downer, but if some people are playing by the rules, other people should too. thats a real nice fish tho

Thanks, we decided to keep it, as they will be draining that pond soon, and we said that wed keep any 5=lb fish, as they will all die. We didnt have any way of transporting it to another body of water at the time, and if we realeased him, we probably would have never seen him again.
