I appreciate all your help and advise. Im not sure how to use a texas rig. Example technique of how to reel in and were to use and what worms to use in certain situations.

Very versatile bait. Cast it out, let it settle, then reel down to where the rod points about 9:00, then raise it so it points about 11:00. This will raise the bait off the bottom, then let it settle. Repeat this retrieve until you are ready to cast again. If you get a hit it will usually come on the fall and feel like a thump-thump. When you feel that, reel down and set the hook. Since it is weedless you can fish it in and around cover like weed beds, submerged timber, lilly pads, etc.

Rebs way is good, but I catch just as many fish by "swimming" a Texas rig, as any other way. Especially with a Culprit type worm.
