Default my yammer-final report

spoke to the wrench yesterday-in person- he told me that the piston pin-connects the piston to the rod-either broke or came out.. it allowed the piston to grab the top of the bore sleeve which it dug in to wedging the piston in to the sleeve-it dug nearly THRU the sleeve-breaking the rod and cracking the crank. he showed me the crank. the crack was about as wide as a #11 razor blade and 3/4 of the way around the crank.. i told the wrench how far it pushed the 2 of us after to broke. he was stupidified-could not belive it- hell i could not belive it either once i seen the damage..
yamaha will be putting a new power head on my moter. i demanded-will have to pay for- them to rebuild the carbs-all 3-.install a new water pump impeller. of course i will have to pay for new gaskets, laybor, and taxes.. but i figure that $400 for a new power head is getting out cheap..

belive it or not this is from a company that no longer works on or services yamaha moters..but it is the same company i bought the boat/moter from in august 2002.
this service IS the #1 reason i bought from them..good news is they are now selling procraft/merc combo's..-of course i looked -
