Nafc??
Hey, I searched threads and got a couple answers to my question, but I'd like a few more. I am already a member ($12 per year) and I just received a nomination for a life membership ($285 one time fee). I Am debating on whether to become a life member or not.
Once you become one you get chosen first for field testing, you get a supposed $135 dollar rod/reel/carrying case combo, and many other benifits. Also, you don't have to pay the $12 per year anymore, AND you get the past amount paid (I've been a member for one year so... $12). Also If I sign up withing like 25 of my nomination, I get a free Mystery gift. So is it worth it? -bb144-

Thats 24 years of payments, if you think you'll still be into it, I'd buy it now. Plus the prices per year are bound to increase with inflation. You may be getting a bargain compared to prices 5 years from now.

JB, How'd you get 11 years of payments? $285/$12 per year = about 24 years. I don't know I may have done my math wrong, but I think its right.

Well 12 yrs x12 dollars is 144, so double that which is 24 = 288 ? So would 285 be like 23 years 9 months worth at a $12 year rate ? P N J

I did it a few years ago. You get the rod & reel combo and a few other things. I thought/think it is worth it. They say you don't special treatment for field tests but, since I became a life member it seems I am field testing more often then I was as a regular member. If you got the money go for it.
