Dad gummit, I just saw this post. Oh well, I havent been to G'ville in a couple months so I really wouldn't have been much use...although I do know a few decent spots that work in the warmer months (I am a pretty poor cold weather fisherman).

You're slipping WTL, I just knew you would've come through with something. My buddy and I ended up with 20 that day, but only one keeper (if I understand it right there is 15" min on that lake). WE had a beautifully overcast day with water temps in the low 50s. Several techniques worked but drop shot reigned supreme that day. I do like that lake, though, and I am a grass fisherman so I was right at home on Guntersville!

hey, i know it's too lte to answer your question seeing it is now 2008 but, i live up river near scottsboro. i usually fish what they call the boyscout camp area. and the best lures i have caught fish on are a white spinner with gold willow leaf blades 3/8 ounce, and a rapala deep diver baby bass. and watermelon or chartuse worm. try them next time you are this way. i fish near the b.b comer bridge.

Hey near jones cove. I normally hit that long island just up from comer on the left side if you are going upstream. That line of milfoil/hydrilla has some huge fish in it, especially fish it when they are runnin water.
