So, given how important the computer has become to anglers while they are at home, how long until we see bass boats with laptops integrated into either the bow or consol?
They could essentially be waterproof and in one interface through USB ports be connected to the depth finder, GPS, Bilge, aerator, engine and battery. The desktop screen could then display all the depth and water info, GPS, lake topo all right there in 1 unit. You would have access to a hard drive with additional info and even the internet. You could even fish while playing your favorite MP3s. It could record all the information gleaned by these units for storage, for instance it could keep a synchronized record of water depth with GPS coordinates, allowing you to create your own lake maps detailed to the areas you fish with included cover and structural features. Even your weather radio could be incorporated. Think about it, should dark clouds linger on the horizon you could just click on weather.com from the bow of your boat and check the radar. This is where we are headed. Who will be the first to put this idea all together?
