I'm having a problem with my transducer not reading after I hit around 8mph. I have a lowrance 527-c and it says it should read up to 60mph. I cant get it any lower in the water because it will hit the trailer on the only available spots I have on the back of the boat. So I was just curious if anyone has mounted theres in the bottom of there boat on the inside. The booklet says you can but I don't want to mess up how good it reads when I'm not moving very fast. Any help would be great!!

Try turning your sonar's sensitivity down to about 60 or so, turn your scroll speed and ping speed up more!

L.R.,you may want to think about mounting the transducer inside the hull, where it will "shoot" through the pad,it might help w/ speeds over 50,good luck

What is caosing the no read is turbulence under the hull passing under the transducer. It has to be moved in order to get a better read. Inside if you have the puck transducer is a great place for a read that is great. If not and you have the skimmer transducer your gonna have to move it. What kinda boat ya got bud????
