i was talkin to the big red machine today he is from rentz ga he said that his biggest bass this year was 3.4 pounds.. he bass fishes alot from the way he talks..i know rentz is south of macon near the ocanee river.. but i always thought ga bass tended to be bigger than tarheel bass..he said your doing good if ya catch a 2 pound bass..
you ga boys want to ante up or is this the truth??? zooker

Not sure where that is that he is fishing, but there is an electric only lake here that on any given cast, you may have a double digit bass on. I know of 9 fish over 10 lbs. caught in the last year. Two of them were landed in my boat. Unfortunately, never by me
![]() Ft. Yargo is slowly producing fish in the 6-7 lb. range more regularly, and Marben Farms PFA has a couple of lakes that have some monsters in as well... including Margery lake....it is on the list I think twice for biggest bass in Georgia list.

I wouldnt be suprised by what he is saying. For one thing Georgia doesnt have that many great lakes.
Everyone thinks if you are in the state of Alabama, you have a chance for a 10 on any cast and thats not true. In the Tuscaloosa area where I am I have never beaten 5 pounds. Hardly ever hear of larger than 8.
