Living vicariously through my son
I know that a few of you hve been giving the weekly HS football reports. When you get my age, the dyas of putting on the pads and leveling someone are a memory. (BTW..I am sure that I was much better in my memory than in real life)
I will admit that watching my son play HS football is darn near as exciting as doing it myself. His school has 2 freshmen football teams. (they have just over 100 boys playing). Saturday was the last scrimmage before the season kicks off this Thursday. I am pleased to report that the Titan's put the ball in the endzone 5 times while holding the other team to just 1 score. My son is playing nose and had two tackles and blew up a bunch of plays. All in all I feel confident that no one will run on this team this season. The longest run against us that I saw was 6 yards, but most of the time they were stopped for a loss. Okay, enough of the proud papa thing. Go Titans

Well, my son is starting on the B team, so he did not play tonight. I am still happy to say that the Poway freshmen team beat the Scripps team with a final score of 55-12. They did this without throwing a single pass. Three different backs rushed for over 100 yards. My son get's his shot on Saturday. He is starting nose and the opossing center has been his best friend since kindergarden. I am explaining the "no firends on the field thing" LOL

Cassidyta my man brag all you want because before you know it he's out of school and the more you brag the more you remember. My son is 27 yrs. old and I can still 77 laying the the lumber to running backs, quarterbacks or leading sweeps and driving linebackers into the stands and saying Hi to their mothers. Keep us up to date on his season.

Got their butts handed to them. My Son the Nose Guard was offsides on the first play. He did knock the unsuspecting center on his butt.
Sadly I think the kids were not ready for this team. The only good thing I saw was that they never quit trying and never dropped thier heads.
