Ok so when my trolling motor went down I changed it out with a older back up...only thing is the back up was 12 volt and the other was 24 volt..Now i bought a 24 volt brand new MinnKota and I'm having trouble getting it to run on 24 volt.
Sounds crazy I know but I thought I would be able to just change back the wires and bam 24 volts again anyway I'm puzzled right now !! any thoughts are welcome Later Will |

there should be a wireing diagram with the motor
my motor guide has 2-12 wires running to the front and the plug turns it to 24 volt I burned a plug up learning this |

OK got the trolling motor wired right the way they showed it in the book small problem now. the old trolling motor had 3 wires that changed it to 24 volt now the new way is setting the bats up as 24 before it gets to the motor...no biggy and that's fine just nervous about my 3 bank charger I don't want to fry it what do yall think about this setup

Get a volt meter to verify. If the charger is directly connected to battery's it should be fine also.
