Default Finally, first fish of the season.

Went out my pond today and casted a shaky head a bit before it got too windy. After the wind picked up, I went back inside. Well after working in the yard almost all day, at about 4:00, I grabbed a rod and reel and slipped a 3/8 oz sinker on it. Then I tied a swivel on, like a C-rig w/o a bead. I tied on a leader and then, instead of a plastic bait, I put on a small floating bass fly made of cork. in about two casts, I had one hooked.

Like all the bass in my pond, it wasn't very big, about 9" and quite skinny, but it was the first bass of the season! so WHOOOOO!!!
