I know that there are a few of swimbait guys on this forum so I figured I would pass on the website for castaic's new hard bodied baits.
Their trout has been out for a little while, but on 15 june, they are releasing the rest of the species. I know that some people will balk at the price, but compared to many other swimbaits on the market, they are fairly reasonable. I also like that they have 4" baits that don't look like a shad painted to look like a blue gill. Their 4" slow sinkers are 1/2 oz, so they will work on just about any set up. I plan on picking up the 6 inch baby bass and 4 inch sunfish. I have some mixed feelings on the rear hook. It might help with shorter strikes, but I am curious how it affect the action on them. http://www.castaicswimbait.com/Categ...Hard-Swimbaits

I don't mind the tail hooks, as I feel that swim-baits are pretty much open water baits anyways, and the price is pretty darn good in comparison to some, but I have to balk at bandits right now, my internship is taking longer to come through than I thought and wal-mart is cutting my hours so I am struggling to make bills, but the bait monkey still never rests.

I am sorry to hear about the delays in internship and the hours thing.
On swimbaits, I think that one of the biggest mistakes made but individuals is only using them in open water. I believe that this is done primarily to avoid putting an expensive bait into a location where it can get lost. I have found swimbaits to very effective when I can brush them up against structure.

Those are pretty nice. The one thing I don't like about swimbaits is the price. I won't pay more than 20 bucks for one. I may try the sunfish one though.
