Need help with boat decks
Hey guys and gals I need some help I am wanting to add some front and rear deck space on my starcraft but I dont want to add much weight. I want an foot and an half in the front and two feet in the back. So please help .

My bad I need help trying to figure out what to use to make the decks I am about 300 pounds lol so the decks must be light but strong

I think a really good material, while not exactly peanuts-cheap, is aluminum skinned plywood. It is sometimes sold as "sign board." The top skin of aluminum (usually about 0.040" thick) makes a nice durable walking surface that is easy to glue non-skid to. The bottom skin will really help make the deck more rigid. But you still need to make sure you have adequate supports for the deck.

How big is the starcraft? The spook is a 14', I can tell you what you need to know...
If its 14', and you weigh 300, you're already looking pretty heavy. I weight 175 and have a full front deck and console and my problem is the weight. For all the world I wish I had the 16'.

my deck that i built is around 50-75 lbs.
