goal achieved
i bought the yak last winter. my main goal for this year was to catch a decent bass from my yak..
i went out in the pre dawn hours this morning with da yak. i put in at the upper bridge of newsome creek,on tuckertown lake..i only took the frog stick and the spinnerbait rod... after paddlin a hundred yards it was on.. yep it is a runt but a nice start. this one here hit right under the nose of the yak i was with in 6" of pulling it out of the water-don't ya just hate that i eased up in a small patch of hydrilla on the surface..and OMG!!! she hit the frog like a truck..i set a goal to catch a good fish this year... GOAL ACHIEVED!! after losing the last frog in the boat.DAMMIT!! i switched over to a spinnerbait.. and fishing along the grass line.. come on pretty girl smile, i'll make ya famus....lol... zooker

I'm guessin it's better in Zooker's open yak, but casting and hooksets are both a little awkward in the normal sit-in kayak. I am smackin the reel on the yak a little less on casts though, compared to when I first started lol
