Got out around 5:30 and almost immediately hooked into a very nice bass with a Bandit 100 chartreuse /w blue back. I lost him on a big jump, and didn't get anymore bites on that crank. So then I tried out a new baby bass husky jerk I bought yesterday and after a few casts hooked up with the one below. I thought he was much bigger with the fight he put up, but still decent. No more bites in two hours, so I packed up and went for breakfast. I plan to go back out in the evening. I got rained out yesterday evening, so I am hoping for better weather tonight.
On a side not, I spooled up some Power Pro 15# last night and I could not be more happy with it. This was my first time out with the new caster that I didn't get a backlash. I like it a lot better than the spiderwire 30# I had, and even more than the spiderwire 15# I have been using for a year on my UL spinning rig. I have it on both rigs now, and I think I will probably stick with it. Second bass on my new rig! ![]()
