Default hitting guntersville tomorrow. help?

yes i am going to hit the water tomorrow at guntersville, probably launch at town creek this time. may not be as crowded as b b comer. blue bird skies, low around 43 high around 75. light winds. what ya'll think i sohould use? don't know the water temp. should be in the high 50's low 60's. i got 9 rigs set up, shallow crank, 6-8 crank, rattle trap, lizzard, buzz baits and 2 spinnerbaits...one white, one black and blue with a hint of red. sound good to you guys? and the other 2 i haven't got anything on yet. give me some ideas gang. thanks!

I would try a swim jig in a color like watermelon green or green pumpkin shades. It is allot like a spinnerbait in presentation, just a little more subtle, and with the clear skies and light wind, it might work well. Just a thought.

if your gonna throw a spinnerbait i suggest waiting til the wind picks up and throw a strike king or equivilent double willow in sexy shad color. As for topwater a gold bling strike king rage shad does the trick for me over top of the grass. If you will work that lilly pad bed up river from town creek next to the big bridge under construction theres some fish to be had there as well. If your havin a hard time gettin anything to hit over the grass rig a large worm (12 - 14") weightless and drag it slow over the grass letting it fall in the open holes in the mat. Theres also a large unused barge shack upriver from town creek on the left that you should work over with a texas rigged craw and skip under the back side of it with a rage shad or buzzbait, preferrably a boogerman. On the back side of that shack you can actually get under it if you take your seat post down and run your trolling motor with your hands, theres fish to be had under there. I hope this helps. And if you decide to go downriver a ways theres a cut back next to the big bridge on hwy 279/79 that has a killer early mornin topwater bite. try a black buzzbait until the sun comes up then go to white. GOOD LUCK

well, i jsut got back an hour ago. NUTHIN! 1 bass (10"), 1 crappie (8"), 1 convict bass (8"). threw EVERYTHING i had almost. cranks (by the ledge too.), lizzard, worm, fluke, rattle trap, spinners, buzz, jerk bait, jig....jsut aobut everything i could think of. but i wasn't alone, the few folks that were bass fishing said they didn't get a nibble either imgoodatwahtido, i launched and fished at TOWN CREEK. didn't go to b.b.comer buddy, kinda wished i had now though. i can catch em better there cause i fish it pretty regularly. i am familier with the grass, old shed and the pilings and boat houses. i'll remember the black buzzbait on that bridge you mentioned.
have you seen a white Z-71 towing a black cajun? that's me pal. holler at me sometime ok?

Sorry to hear the fishin wasn't so hot for ya. We all have days like that for sure. I was just reading somewhere about some guy who fishes Guntersville with a swimjig this time of year. Anyways, just get back out there and try again. You'll hookup buddy.
