Boat lighting upgrades part 1
I installed the Bluewater LEDs in the boat today. I still have a few strips left over that I might try and find a place for but for the most part I am done in the boat. It is almost impossible to get pictures of these things and believe me when I say that they look much better in person, but they will atleast give you an idea of what they look like. As you can see I added them to all the compartments and even added one to the passenger rod ramp so my co-angler can see when they load their rods in the dark. The install was very clean and I am very happy with how it turned out. I went with all blue except for the box where I keep my hardbaits and jigs because I wanted white there so I could see what color of bait I was grabbing. Tomorrow I am going to add the LED trailer lights and try and get the Bluewater LED ground effect lights under the trailer and wired to a switch in the cab of my truck so I can control them from inside the truck.

Those look great! Did you drill holes to run the wires through or along the surface?

Thanks man. The compartments are ran on the surface and then through the side of the compartment to where I made the connections so all the connections are hidden. I used the clips that were supplied with the package and it made for a clean look. The rod ramp took some work. I took the grab handle and side panel off the side of the boat and then removed the rod ramp so I could access the wires in the rod locker, then I drilled a small hole in the back of the rod ramp and ran my wires from the light through it and into the rod locker where I made my connections. Once I put everything back together you can't see the wires at all. For the light on the floor on the passenger side I drilled a hole in the side of the boat and ran my wires through the hole and tied them into the wires for the rod ramp light, again once everything was put back into place you can't see the wires. On the driver side floor light I just ran the wire up under the console and tied into the courtesy light that is on the side of the console, then I ziptied my wires up to some other wires and they are out of sight as well.
