Hey guys. My moms been in the Hospital since Saturday. About 3 months ago she was diagnosed with Colitis. And she's been doing fine for the time since then. But a week or two ago she started feeling really weak, and was loosing allot of blood. We took he to the hospital last week and they checked her out, gave her some meds, and had he on an IV for a while. So felt good for about a day. Same thing started happening after that day. 3 or so days went by and they we took her back to the hospital (Sunday). The found she's got a really nasty bacteria in her large intestine. So they gave her Antibiotics IV, they planed to keep her there and watch her for the rest of week, and once everything was cleared up, they'd send her back. Well today my dad came home in a hurry and broke us the bad news.... She's in Surgery now and they're removing her colon. The bacteria has eaten it's way though her colon. Apparently (and I'm acting on assumption here) the bacteria mutated and built up a resistance to the antibiotics. So they've gotta do what they gotta do. She should be OK though, she'll have to be on a colostomy bag the rest of her life though if everything goes well.
And hopefully it will, and it will with God's help. So please, pray for her guys, I really appreciated. Thank you.
