Caught my first doubles last sunday
2 2 pounders, on a rapala at dusk, same cast. Didn't get a picture, cause one came off while I was getting my camera out. Had a pretty good day in general on the coosa. Caught a 3 1/2 pounder on a buzzbait, and a few others on spinnerbaits, and the new little x rap. Thought I'd brag just a bit, as its been a slow fishing year for me.

Congrates. Sorry to hear about the trying year but it looks like things maybe changing.
You still have time and hopefully come Dec. I'll be reading a post from you telling how a slow year ended really well! Good fishing to you! |

Congrats Billy. I have yet to catch a double, although I have had many close calls on Table Rock when you get into a school of spots or smallies and they will follow a hooked fish to the boat trying to get the bait out of his mouth.

That's got to be exciting. Heck, right now a single would be exciting.

I hope 2012 turns out to be a better year of fishing for ya. Make the rest of 2011 count buddy.

Congrats on the double, I have had doubles two different times now... once on a pond, (2 little 12 inchers) and once on Lake Erie while largemouth fishing, both on a Strike King crankbait. It is a fun time, thinking you have a big one on the line.

Congrats! That does sound exciting. Haven't doubled before but looking forward to it. I'll probably fall out of the boat when I do. LoL.

I've never caught a double on the same bait but did catch a double on a double fluke rig once. One was a 2 lber the other was less than a lb.

Doubles are a good time. I've had 3 this year that I can think of, once on a pointer, once on a spook jr, and once on a rattle trap, it really does make you think you have a monster!
