I don't generally throw spinnerbaits in cold water (Michigan cold anyways).
But for dingy water, (which we actually don't have much of around here), your blade shape is more important than color. My favorite blade to use when visibility is poor, is a "hammered" Colorado blade. Hammered, is what i call it, although "dimpled" is probably a better word. Lots of nice thump and vibrations to it

I throw a chartreuse and white spinnerbait with 2 colorado blades on it. If the sun is out I will go with a willow leaf and a colorado blade to pick up any flash it can.

I use a willow/colorado blade combination with dark skirts. Black has done OK, but I've had the best luck with a blue and yellow skirt.

I've actually never used double blades on my spinnerbaits. I do plan on trying a few combos this year

I like the double blades for most conditions unless I'm slow-rolling or yo-yoing a spinnerbait, then I'll swith to a single colorado blade... I feel the single colorado blade spins better on a drop.

Yeah, I've probably been limiting myself in that respect. I'll hafta whip some up before Spring hits.
What sizes are the 2 blades?

For the conditions your talking about I would go with a white or white/chatreuse 3/8 oz. double colorado with gold or gold/silver combo blades. If I wanted to get a little deeper, I'd switch to double Indiana style blades.

Sorry, I couldn't tell ya. I would recognize the size if I saw it. I don't have access to my tackle box right now or I'd measure one. Maybe keithdog can help ya out on the size.

I'd assume they're both the same size. I use #4s Been throwin 3/8 oz but I think I'm gonna move up to 1/2

Most double bladed spinnerbaits I've seen use different sizes for each blade....the lower blade will be (I think) 2 sizes smaller than the upper one. Don't know what actual size they would be, though.
