Default Burton's Monkey

Got to see the lure making process yesterday at Burton's Baits. I've seen his baits at one of the tackle shops on the lake and was curious to see his whole line of baits. Found the owner on Facebook, Scott, and asked if I could stop by. Turns out he's 5 min from my place and he's got permission to fish a small private pond in the area too . Looks like I've got a new best friend....

Interesting process. Not too difficult but takes some $$$ to be able to do multiple baits at one time. Each mold runs in the $40-$105 range. Here's a couple pics of his work.

If you like what you see and are looking for custom colors then give Scott a call or look him up on FB. He has no minimum order and will pour small quantities for you.

And by the way his baits do catch fish.........

Nice. All of those shapes would have great smallie catching potential in my waters.

I like those paddle tail worms. Do they have pretty good integrity for more than 1 or 2 fish?

I'll have to see. I've never used his stuff so I'll be testing them myself. If I get a couple more I'll send you some.

Bubba - They're called Stretch Tail worms. Pulled the tail and found that I could double the length of the bait without the tail ripping off.
I can't wait to mess with them myself. I may get a chance this weekend.....: D

shhhhhhhh....can't call them skinny dippers!!! RI might get upset. Whoever sells the mold will probably get a letter from RI's legal department real soon.

I want to see how well the tails wiggle.........
