i've had a bunch of rattlers in my tackle box for a while now and i've never actually used them or known how to use them. I was wondering on the placement of them on the line. Do i place them above the swivel or under the swivel?? without a swivel-- how do i rig them then??? just very confused on the subject and would appreciate the help! are they even worth it lol???

lol, those are supposed to be inserted into the actual worm, tube, or whatever plastic bait your using. typically one end is pointed, just insert that end into the worm.
