Good choices. In muddy water I like a spinnerbait with a big, single Colorado blade.

I spent several hours yesterday fishing muddy waters after 5 straight days of rain. I caught almost all of my fish on black jigs with rattles, and the biggest YUM chunk trailers I had.

I throw big, dark colored spinnerbaits and jigs. They're usually tight to cover.

Big and tight to the cover. If not a big Colorado blade, close to the cover.

Normally but not carved in stone I fish murky water with a bait that does make noise and/or displace alot of water. Use the same principles as I do when fishing at night.

If the water is just murky, go with the baits that you previously mentioned. If the water is muddy go with a different approach. I.E. SB's with big colorado blades, etc..

Like most said in dark murky water i like throwing spinnerbaits. But i prefer the 3/8 oz spinner, i don't have much luck on really big spinners. I also like throwing buzz baits when the water is murky. Mainly because it gives the fish something to hear then look for, and most of the time causes a massive strike.
