No rod is "indestructable" any more than the Titanic was unsinkable. The closest thing is probably an Ugly Stick. As far as an infomercial-any fishing product that has to have an infomercial probably isn't worth wasting time let alone money on.

I use to have one awhile back for bluegill and crappie fishing and I broke the tip off on the second trip. If you plan on bass fishing spend a little money and get a quality graphite rod. Trust me, you will buy 3 cheap rods to every 1 quality rod.

Reb is right. The Ugly stick is the toughest rod. Field and Stream has a test of 8 different rods. The Ugly stick would not break with a load of 55lbs. The second best in this test was the Clarrus (sp.) The test was done with one peice spinning rods.

If you think the Rhino Rod is indestructable give it to me when I get all wound up and start rocking 20ft boats when setting the hook using a jig or worm. Pretty soon you will hear that god awful sound of....SNAP!!!

sadly,i have a rhino.i bought the baitcast combo.it is an ok rod,but the reel sucks! the rod is pretty sensative for a comp, but not as sensative as an ugly stick.plus, the ugly stick has better guides. let warn you,DONT WATSE YOUR MONEY ON IT!!!!!

i watched that show. on that rod. they really make it seem like the best rod in the world, and indorse it with bill dance, but if u take care of your rods, and have rods that really make sense for what your fishing for there shouldnt really be a promblem.
